The pictures in this vein are very much a reflection on scenes
from daily life.
In every one there is a gesture, an ambiance, a peculiar light
which conveys the strength of Guillaud, his love for life and
our human condition: street scenes, people at work, scenes from
family life where the role of woman is underlined, whether as
a mother or as an accomplice. All these “moments of life”
are particularly moving because, beyond the apparent simplicity
of the subjects, they are enhanced by a well-balanced composition,
his use of light and the astonishing strength of his palette.
